10-28-2012 – Evacuation Order

WHEREAS, I, Michael A. Spera, Director of Emergency Management for The Town of Old Saybrook, in efforts to assist with the PRESERVATION OF LIFE and CONSEQUENCE MANAGEMENT for HURRICANE SANDY, it is hereby known that efforts will be made to remove citizens from areas predicted to be impacted or isolated by flood waters;

NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED that a VOLUNTARY EVACUATION FOR ALL RESIDENCES AND BUSINESSES SOUTH OF BOSTON POST ROAD or AREAS IN DANGER OF BEING IMPACTED OR ISOLATED BY RISING FLOOD WATERS shall take effect at 0815 HRS.

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that a copy of this action be forwarded to the State of Connecticut, Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.

  2. Any chance there could be emergency trash pick up in cornfield point, or could the dump be open? Worried that there’s a lot of trash around…..
